GTR - Shunter Training Duration

Hi guys,

I hope all is well.

I was wondering do we have anyone working for GTR as a Shunter on the forums, I am going to commence my Shunter training very soon and was wondering does anyone know how long the training course lasts?

I ask because I might need to book some time off.

What depot are you going to? Presumably Cauldwell?

Might not be Caudwell, they were recruiting for locations on the GN too so never presume - that said last time I went for it, it was about 2 weeks at Hornsey than you went to the yard you've been given under the eye of a experienced shunter who would mentor you then the rules manager would assess you and you would either be passed out or failed.

Every yard is different, WGC for example is numbered from the ECML while PBO is numbered from the March lines so they will explain all this to you, don't sweat it you be fine.
