gtr question

good morning - this is my first post so be kind!!
can anyone tell me if gtr pay shift allowance on top of the salary that is advertised for 24/7 shift workers?

It depends on whether the job grade has had a pay and conditions 'restructuring' since British Rail days.

For Drivers on GTR restructuring did take place and they don't get any enhancements for unsocial hours etc.

Back in BR days there was a 'Variable Roster Payment', an 'Irregular and Unsocial hours Payment' a 'Driver Only Operation' payment, as well as enhancements to hourly pay for Saturdays, and for hours between 21:00 and 06:00.
As I said, for drivers that's all gone now and incorporated into basic salary.

If you tell us what grade you are looking at there might be someone who can help.

Thanks for replies . Unfortunately there is not a grade attached to the job , just gives salary , was just hoping someone may know or work for gtr at three bridges that may know if they recurve shift or unsociable hours pay on top

Which job is it? Drivers certainly don't get any location or shift allowance anymore if that helps.

Is that as in SDC at bridges? (Service delivery Center)? Just interested, afraid I don't know about shift allowances but I'd take a punt that they don't, all included in the salary.
