GTR OBS pay

I friend of mine has drawn my attention to a vacancy with GTR for OBS at Barnham. The headline wage is just shy of £28k. This seems extremely low for this role considering I thought their hourly wage was similar to SWR commercial guards?

Is this correct and there has been a severe reduction in pay, or are Sundays outside, or the working week is particularly low, or any other reason?

The £27k wage is the probation wage for the first six months. If they decide to keep you after the six months probation period, the wage goes up to £38k.
