Hello all,
So recently I boarded the Gatwick express back to London from Brighton and realised that my railcard had expired. I owned up to this but I received a caution and a witness statement.
I’m assuming I’ll get something in the post? I must have accidentally also travelled using an incorrect railcard into Brighton and for my journey to see my family at Xmas on a different rail line.
The issue is mainly me not checking the Trainline app automatically applying the discount.
I’m assuming they’ll contact me, and I’ve heard that if I offer to settle out of court with GTR they’ll likely be okay with that?
Slightly terrified.
Thank you!

Apologies - missing details.
It’s a 26-30 railcard which expired in August. I don’t really travel by train much so didn’t check this.
