ah I see I live Bedford so is that not looking good for me do you know when welwyn, luton or st albans are opening I can get to them al by road or rail in about 40 to 50 mins im doing 2nd assessment for great northern tomorrow

I'm hoping for Luton too, mate. Let's hope they take on trainees!

I'm afraid to say I'm unsure how it works, I've spoken to people who have been in the pool for months and years, and others who go straight into the classroom.

St Albans is about 50 minutes from me. Very on the edge of the out-of-bounds. Gulp!

Near the M1 at Junction 15! So Luton and St Albans are straight down the motorway.

Thanks baz, a little confused as those depots would be out of my commute distance.
I'm sure it'll be a lot clearer on dmi day.
I did assessments on Monday 26th June and got call this morning.

Congrats SIM. You must have been one of the 6 of us on the 26th. What's your real name?
I heard yesterday too.. What a relief. Booked for the DMI next Thursday... Are you the same day?

Well done Pafff. So it took them something like 4 working days to call you as your assessment took place on the 30th June?.
Like Baz I had my part 2 assessment in Watford on Monday and passed - keeping everything crossed for that call ..... today (Thursday) is the 4th working day!

Received a call from GTR yesterday about an hour after Pafff! DMI in three weeks also.
