Group tickets offered by different operators in UK

There are different group ticket offerings in different UK operators, some are useful and some are utterly useless.

For example, Stagecoach generally offers group tickets for 4 people (up to 6 in some regions), Go South Coast offers group tickets for 5 people. However, First South & West Wales only offers a "family ticket" for 2 adults + 3 children or 1 adult + 4 children, which is priced the same as 2 full-priced tickets, making it utterly useless if a group doesn't have any children.

What's the best group offering by bus operators in the UK, and what's the worst?

Probably depends on the nature of your group. If you "fill" a group ticket you will always get the best value from it.

 

[WY Bus Spotter]

First West Yorkshire used to do a 5 for £5 ticket. I think it was only purchasable on a weekend though. You won't get much better value than that I don't think.
