Hello People,

I know this might sound silly but I've been practising Dot Test using the tool available on this website. I have got assessment coming up soon and . So far I am getting this results:
Perception & Attention:
Targets Omitted ----- 3
Maked Incorrect ----- None
Speed:
Total Cells ---------- 909
Mean Cell Time ------ 0.422
Median Cell Time ------ 0.360
Completed Rows ------ 35
Mean Row Time ----- 10.534
Median Row Time ----- 10.420
Vigilance:
Row Fluctuation ----- 5.69

I was just wondering whether this is considered pass or fail?

Whilst no one knows the pass mark for the Group Bourdon and can give you a definite pass or fail, there are a couple of things I can see which you could work on.

1. Avoid mistakes & omissions by working at a fast but comfortable pace.
2. Reduce your Row Fluctuation by getting a rythym going and avoiding errors. It’s important to go at a consistent pace throughout the test.
3. When you start making zero mistakes and omissions in your practice, try to work a little faster (but keep it consistent).

You want to find that sweet spot where you work at a consistent, comfortable pace which is fast, but not fast enough for you to miss any groups or make mistakes.

OK Thanks for the Feedback, Yeah the real one will be paper and pencil but I'll keep on practising it and take your comments on board.

Print pages and work through them with a pencil so it's like the real thing. My performance on the app vs on paper was wildly different (I found paper easier).

Like the guy above said, accuracy is key, build that first. Then you work on speed.

The night before my assessment I spent an hour just drilling through pages and pages of dots. It worked for me. Also your pages need to be consistent. If you blast through the first page and then get weaker with subsequent pages, that will mark you down. Strong and steady wins the race.

5 Errors is a fail.
Aim for 10 lines per page with no errors for a enhanced pass.
