Never heard of this..
Is it a tram or a train?
It comes from the winter edition of the Eastern Region timetable. Which is on Timetable World... table 86

It was a passenger tramway, largely on its own formation, a bit like a German inter-urban; it was opened by the Great Central and closed by BR. More on Wikipedia under Grimsby and Immingham Electric Railway.

It's a good question. As Gloster says, opened and operated by the GCR and it's successors, but physically isolated from the rest of the network. Its practice of operating passenger carrying vehicles in convoys over an unsignalled route might have raised more than eyebrows in other contexts!
