I briefly visited Greenford Station in West London yesterday and couldn't help but notice that all the iron-work (roof pillars etc) were painted a sort of turquoise colour....the sort of colour that our local council used to paint drainpipes and the like back in the 1960s.
I was wondering why this choice of colour as it doesn't conform to any sort of corporate standard that I'm aware of (not necessarily a bad thing!). Not at all important but if anyone knows the answer, I'd be interested!!!
