Green carriage on A428

Evening all,

My dad saw a big green carriage, his words, on a low loader join the A428 at madingley and then pull in to Caxton petrol station. Does anyone know what it might have been and where it was going to/from.

Most likely a SR Green MK1 TSO heading up to the Battlefield line for vac brake fitting from Epping Ongar Railway, left us around 14:00 at EOR on a Reid Freight lorry

I hope they use v power! Green and lots of windows was all I got from my dad who isnt at all interested in railways.

No problem! Yes it is indeed no longer just the 117 running up and down on some weekends! We start the 2014 season tomorrow, with Large Prairie 4141 + 3 coaches and NSE livery Thumper 205205.

And yep green with lots of windows, sounds about right!

Your coaches are certainly seeing plenty of moves at the moment, as I noticed a couple have had quick trips to Ilford for tyre turning recently.

Yes they certainly have, a wonderful job they've done too, the MK2 BSO that went is so much smoother riding now.

Well the aim is to get two rakes of coaches sorted so, that green coach is just the start

Classic from a work mate of mine..... i seen a steam engine on a low loader, could'nt see a number or a name..... it was black!

Hmmmm black engine with no number or name..... let me work out the possibilities.
