Green Arrow was the first main line steam I can remember riding behind, to Scarborough one glorious Saturday in about 1983 I think. I came across a couple of shots I took on that day recently taken with my first camera, a trusty Olympus trip. One shot leaning out of the window near Kirkham Abbey, and the other sitting at the blocks at the long platform 1 at the terminus. How these photos survived when just about everything else I took so long ago has vanished is a mystery to me, but I'm glad they did.

being young ive never seen it, and now at leeds uni i think a visit to york is in order once it gets there

Just a thought, becuase 60163 Tornado hauled 4468 Mallard from York to Shildon, if (60800) 4771 is being moved from Shildon to York, is it an exchange? Shildon gets Mallard and York gets the Green Arrow?

Green Arrow is one of my favourite engines and had I won the Euro Lottery last Friday I would have paid to get her back on the main line
