I was at GG on Friday I either didn't see or they were missing from the event. Were they there ... if so where abouts?

No.1054 - on the turntable at the back of the event
33012 - parked next to 40106 besides test track
40013 - over by all of the Peaks but parked nearest the entrance to Litchurch Lane rather than buffers
40106 - next 33012 as above
20007 - absent
20205 - absent
66301 - near entrance and 66004
66501 - with 90018 in main alley (with the likes of 57307/57008/50007/50033 etc)
75005 - absent
70008 - near 69016 and 66301 nearish entrance
47593 - absent
D9000 - absent
D1062 - absent
57307 - main alley as above
57314 - behind 27056/26007 in main alley
57008 - front of main alley besides 57307
15097 - I believe this is 'Ubique' which was at the back near the 08s
86101 - near exit with 87002/89001 etc
60099 - absent
91101 - absent
91110 - right next to exit
3417 - inside behind 4TC and besides 6023/92214
79900 - other side of test track to 40106/33012
51941 - behind 40106
52064 - behind 40106
197120 - absent
455686 - presume this is 455868, if so inside with 313201/465908/507001/47715 etc

45000 - unsure, is this a LMS coach?

56301 was there, it has now been repainted back to BR Blue and its original guise of 56045. 43060 was also there but on the back of the 125 Group / 125 Preservation Rake. From photos it appears to have been somewhat buried in by the Pendolino and RA vehicles though.

Ahh that explains it. Walked along the side of the EMR MkIIIs but missed the cl43 number.

D7076 and 55019 weren't really on display, they were between the 150 and the test track.

Edited to add: more accurately, between S shop and the test track

The 20s weren't there.

The EMR 43 is 43159.

197120 (or any 197) didn't end up attending, and I heard that some of my fellow "modern train fans" were "disappointed" by that

I can understand how the sub-set within those people who had never been around any of the "Welsh" trains were disappointed (whereas I've been on 45 197s but not in a single 398).

Judging though by how the 398 made its appearance (strangely, disappointingly and somewhat pointlessly just all locked up, still attached to the vehicles it was delivered between, and unaccompanied by any staff) I'm not sure if the 197 would've been any better, as in, if anyone would've been able to "go in it" like they were able to with Greater Anglia's 720568 for example.

As best I can recall 43159 was not EMT / EMR - Midland Mainline maybe.

Yes. I was just trying to give the OP the number of the power car they missed. The only one at the event that could fit a description of 'EMR 43' from its present appearance alone is 43159, given EMR is a successor of Midland Mainline.

57307 was definitely there, it was on the front of the 390
5868 was in the shed with a few other EMUs, such as the PEPs, the 350 and the 465
3417 was at the back of the shed with the 720 in I was told
66301 was out the front, as was 56045, and some peaks
66501 was in the middle ish of the site, near the 390 and 90018 iirc.
91110, 86101 and some other electrics were together behind the model railway shed

Some would say fortunately. I have no idea where they would have crammed several more units without making it very difficult to photograph what was there.

It was a pity there were no Class 20s considering their long association with Derby and even the works itself as they were used on S-Stock deliveries, but I won't lose any sleep over it.

20007/205 are seeing quite a bit of use currently with RailAdventure, covering for 43465/480 stopped for ETCS fitment. With 43468/484 at the Greatest Gathering and 43423/467 stopped for scheduled exam, they likely couldn’t be spared.

14060 was with the cluster of steam locomotives not far from the site entrance.
55 019 was down the side of 701 001.
56 301 was present as it's original number 56 045 but I've forgotten where exactly it was - I think it was with the group of freight locomotives by the entrance.
D7076 was another one down the side of something else.

Some of the entries were on the optimistic side to say the least, like the GWR IET given Hitachi's often struggle with IET availability, and Colas 56 entry with their reliability struggles as well

Luckily there was more than enough to keep one busy there not to notice the no shows, only afterwards did I realise how much didn't come, which didn't matter given how much I enjoyed the day anyway

43060 was on the 125 preservation group train paired with the East Midlands mk3s and 43159. It was painted in blue and red-numbered to 43200 for Railway 200 which confused me at first! I went on board and the internal power cab door had the true number!

43004 was paired with 43198.
