Greater Manchester rail ranger

I'm travelling Dewsbury to Atherton next Saturday (return)
I think the cheapest option is a Dewsbury to Stalybridge and then a greater Manchester rail ranger can I buy one of these from Dewsbury station? Also I need to go onwards to leigh is there a ticket that combines bus and train I can buy at Dewsbury

You can buy both at Dewsbury.

If you need bus validity, System One day passes can also be bought from any NR ticket office.

You can buy at Dewsbury station a Greater Manchester Rail Ranger for £5.40, or a Greater Manchester DaySaver (Train and Bus variant) for £6.70.

For the latter, the ticket seller should search for "gm daysaver tb" in their ticket issuing system's list of Rangers and Rovers. Railcard discounts are not available on either ticket.

It would be worth noting, for clarity, that the train would need to call at a station between Greenfield and Stalybridge (inclusive) on this combination of tickets.
