Greater Manchester "Binliner" PFA/KFA flats

So I have searched high and low across the internet and magazines for exactly what wagons the famous Greater Manchester "Binliner" waste service that used to run to Appley Bridge and then Roxby Gullet used. As it turns out, it's not ex-Freightliner PFAs as I first thought, but custom-built flats that ended up being redesignated KFAs. Hornby's OO KFAs are more modern flats built in the late 80s/early 90s to a different spec I believe, but does anyone know if they can be modified to backdate them? No one seems to make the specific flats that this train used, but if I can modify them then I'll go for that option, otherwise I could waiting forever...

The Hornby KFA model is a near match and some work would be needed to alter a few of the details.

When I started doing my planned rake of Binliner wagons, I looked into doing this but at the end of my day, sanity prevailed and I just treated each flat wagon to a heavy coating of grime, brake dust and muck to replicate the look of the real wagons. Once the 3d printed container wagons were plonked on the top of the wagon, you would be hard pushed to tell the difference.

The Standard Wagon built wagons all had the same Y25 Sambre et Meuses I think type of bogies fitted, whereas the sole Remefer? French built wagons ended up with Gloucester GPS type bogies, though in later years these were replaced. I haven't got any photos to hand on my phone to show you but can look for one of the nearly finished Hornby with 3d printed containers model.

Thanks Paul, appreciate that. I've seen the 3D printed containers online and they look excellent, but good to know the Hornby KFAs are not far off, I'll probably look to compromise on those.
