Hi there
This is my first post on what looks like a great forum, and I'm hoping for a little help please.

I have passed the trainee conductor assessment day and have been invited for interview with Greater Anglia.

Would anyone be lovely enough to let me have the job description asap? I know it's a bit of an ask, but everyone seems pretty helpful here

Normally I am pretty organised but having saved it on my computer, the flipping thing has crashed, and the doc has disappeared :(

Thanks in advance for any help:D

If the admins are able to give the OP the ability to use PMs I might be able to help.

Hi JennyBee, Out of curiosity what is your status at the moment with regards to the interview?

were you put on hold etc and just offered an interview?
when did you attend the assessment day?
what is your location preference? and how long have you been waiting to join GA

I am only waiting for an interview with Greater Anglia passing the assessment centre last year, been quite depressing waiting if i'm honest.

Hello there Jenny (I presume that is your name)

I can offer some help if you like with an application to become a conductor if you like, particularly centralised around the interview stage.

If you send a PM or friend request, I will offer you some (hopefully) useful advice

Pretty tough waiting, isn't it? Particularly when it's a job you really want. Hope all works out for you.:(:(

In short the job description is really is just a full long spelling out of everything we could ever need to do, but boils down to be professional, be safe, turn up on time, don't be lazy, sell some tickets.

Interview wise, don't panic, be calm. If it was anything like mine it'll be a little daunting as it'll just be you and two interviewers, one asking questions, one sat quietly writing the whole time! Be ready to explain how you can work to strict rules, can provide good customer service and also how you can handle a crisis!

Hi Jenny, well done. How long did you have to wait before you found out you passed the assessment?

Wow, ok. I done the assessment on Wednesday 15th Jan 2014 and haven't heard anything as yet. Does anyone know if they get back to you if you were unsuccessful?

I got a letter when they sifted me from a trainee driver position so I would think so. Maybe. Perhaps.

Yes they will. I waited a few weeks(5) before hearing back about another position.

So you got upto the scaat exercise, and are waiting to hear back if I am correct?

Good luck with your application.

At least they will get back.

There were a lot of people left over after the raat test, so they let everyone do the ticket selling test and scaat exercise.

They are a bit short in HR atm.

Did you get an interview?

not yet....I passed the assessment but my application has been put on hold as all the vacancies have been filled. I also sat the assessment on Wednesday 15 January as Danieru

Did you apply for London Liverpool Street or Norwich?

There were a lot of people there at the start of that day. I remember it went down as the day went on.

I wonder if any of us 3 spoke to each other on the day...

Unfortunately, Maps has stopped.
Danieru - if GA are anything like my employer, I wouldn't be worried if I hadn't heard for a fortnight. Perhaps after that I'd ring them if I'd still heard absolutely nothing. It's not uncommon for HR to get bogged down in the sheer amount of people applying for the (admittedly few) positions that they are offering. From initial contact to being offered a start date was 4 months for me. However I couldn't take the first start date, so from initial contact to start date was actually closer to 7 months.
