Just received a second email to say if I have not received a invitation for assessment with 6 months I will need to reapply, is notifying me in a round about way i have not made the grade.

Not sure, if it’s a sorry email, I know I passed the SJT, what pass mark they are looking for is anyone’s guess

I also got the 2 emails, the second one saying at the end "Please do no respond to this email"..

So is the general consensus that this is NOT a "no", it's just a "things might take time but if that time is longer than 6 months you will have to reapply"?

I would agree with you. I think the second email contained a little bit of info that was missing from the first email and they had to make amends. Effectively they are still reviewing applications but they had to warn us about GDPR and how it affects our applications.

It looks like a badly worded first email which was just warning us about the delay followed up by a clarification email.

The suspense is frustrating but obviously for a chance to gain employment as trainee train driver, the road too a fantastic career! IMAO there will always be a very high volume of applicants.

Hi all, yes received the same 2 emails. A friend of mine is a driver, he said the best thing to do is not to stress over it, if it happens it happens. Potentially 1-2 thousand people applying for 20 trainee roles! So I can understand why it takes some time. Good luck to all!

If something is active or needed then data can be kept indefinitely.

However it can be deleted if requested to do so.

For example my shop keeps records of people who self exclude for 12 months as that's the duration of the ban. I can keep the date for longer if the person asks me to extend the date.

Yes - I contacted them yesterday and mentioned that I have completed them, but there was nowhere on the application to make this known.

How long do train driver assesments last for guys? I did mine about three years ago. I failed the managers which isn't part of it and they wouldn't let me go again.

This lot just emailed if I had done the tests

They can, but obviously it would be quicker to check those applicants that have stated that they have done the tests rather than everyone that applied for the vacancies!

Haha got the same email too... I told him I had previously been invited to take the tests when I applied for the trainee depot driver positions but circumstances meant I could not proceed with the application which is why I applied for the late 2018/2019 trainee roles instead.

I have passed paper/computer but have a failed CBI. Don’t think this affects my two lives as they don’t use it. Replied saying this.
