Er, the advertised train was cancelled. Ergo, the advertised service was not delivered.Tell me how the advertised service was not delivered??
Hahah, yet more baseless assumptions! You're the kind of person, I'm sure, that I'm winds up rail staff. The kind that when something goes wrong everyone is to blame but themselves.
The only time I can even remotely be accused of 'winding up' a member of railway staff is an incident I mentioned elsewhere recently; when as a child I wanted to use my Travelcard[*] to travel on a BR train from Liverpool Street to Stratford - a ticket collector told me it was a fallacy that my ticket was valid. And I argued with him that he was wrong - because he was wrong.
And yet again, you're dodging the issue - this time by slandering people. So if you'd like to apologise for your groundless accusation, that would be the decent thing to do.
What I dislike is the kind of customer service which only ever refers to 'the rules' and doesn't consider what the is 'right thing to do'. And those who automatically assume that the customer is at fault, despite the absence of any evidence - and those who defend the system to the death, seemingly refusing to accept that it could ever be at fault.
[*] When the Travelcard was LT only, but allowed travel on certain dual-available BR routes, such as Kings Cross/Moorgate-Finsbury Park.
