Even in Sunday there is an additional 5:20 am service which is far earlier than normal (7am)

And in the days before Sunday there were earlier trains too. It's as if there was a big event in the capital.

These were some of the rather impressive number of additional services run for the Queen's funeral today. Just goes to show what's possible when the industry pulls together.

These where obviously for the lying in state passengers. Many TOCs offered additional services such as these. It was only Stansted, Southend Vic & Colchester that had 24/7 services into Liverpool St. There would be little demand for these services at other times except maybe the 00:40 Norwich services on Fridays & Saturdays. The latter however would not be possible as would interfere with possession times for NR.
