Did the Yarmouth job today, got a SVR to Reading then Saver to Yarmouth. So, heres the story

Got the 0638 from Trowbridge to Bath, with 158864 slipping at every oppertunity, then on to, yuck, FGW Refurb, with double MTU! EXCEPT a REAL Coach 'F'. So me and Dad decided to do FC upgrades, so we FC'd in a real coach to Padd.

Got the Circle over to Liverpool St for a 90 to Norwich, where Fragonwreck liveried 47703 was waiting to take us to Great YArmouth, and it did - in style. Me and Dad were on Front Window as well :D . Although we didn't actually get a good chance to speak to Zane, was nice to put a name to a face, even if it was without words!

Anyway, back to Norwich after run round, then back to Yarmouth again, at which point it run's round and goes back ECS to Crown Point. Anyway, we watched it go and got some Chips, before doing Double 153's back to Norwich, for a 90 back to Liverpool St.

We had agreed we would try not to go on another Refurb set, and we were greated at 1915 by a Unrefurb pulling in. We were all set for it to form the 1930 back to Bristol, but, it did the 1945 Swansea instead!

We had decided it was time to go home, so got on the 2000 Plymouth, which was Refurb (full) except 43145 at the front!

We got a table as well! Anyway, we left Padd with a fairly good departure, and we were going well, and was thinking of a nice clear run to Reading. Nope, slowed down before Hayes and Harlington, went to the relief lines, and got stopped in the station at a red, the moment we stopped, the driver notched it back under the bridge, as the signal changed straght to green! So, soon after we slowed down to go over to the main line.

I thought that would be the end of the fun, but nope. Just after passing Maidenhead some twerp pulled the emergancy stop handle, for which caused another delay, but some major thrash as a result!

We had a clear run in and out of Reading, before reaching Swindon. We thrashed out of Swindon, at which point there was another enthusiast on the other platform giving me a quick Flail!

Thingly Junction was soon reached, with the guard enjoying a bit of thrash! Where we diverged for the Melksham line, trundled down that for a while then went over Bradford Junction, for a 25-60 before braking for the 50 through the station. Power was re-aplied when going under a bridge, much to my joy, and soon enough we got to Westbury. After a quick thanks to the driver, we got some thrash leaving Westbury, before getting 158817 home!

1 question, was notch 5 taped out on 43145?

Thanks

Jim
