Great Western Super Off-Peak Returns from Bath

Hi all,

Tomorrow I am off to Winnersh (again) to visit my Uncle and his family until Friday. I have tested all kinds of routes using Avantix and the cheapest option I can find would appear to be to buy a SSR to Pangbourne, and then Off-Peak Singles from there to Winnersh and back again. But for some reason the National Rail site is quoting a price which is nearly £10 higher. Avantix is quoting £13.80 [SSR from BTH to PAN w/YNG]; National Rail are quoting £22.95 (a price that doesn't seem to exist in Avantix). I don't want to use Advance tickets because I can't guarantee that I will be leaving at any specific time (not to mention I have less than an hour until the cut-off!).

Would anyone have any suggestions? I should add that the one time I have seen them give differing answers, Avantix was correct (it was more on that occasion).

They are different ticket for different routes. The £13-80 is valid on routes "NOT READING"; the £22-95 ia "ANY PERMITTED".
Depending on which route you wish to travel will decide the best ticket.

Okay, thank you. Kinda obvious I guess, but I planned to change at Didcot regardless which is why it didn't occur to me.
