Hi,

I've had a little search and cannot find any thing that matches what I want to know.

Basically I've heard lots of rumours about the electrification.

I want to know is there any plans to actually electrify the route via Cheltenham Spa at all.

It would be nice to have electric going through Cheltenham going up to Birmingham connecting to the current electrification.

Does any one have any facts on this at all?

Well the last I heard electrification of the GWML was looking unlikely instead the MML was looking like it might be electrified instead. Though of course in these financial times any sort of electrification is unlikely.

I've got a letter from Theresa Villiers to say no decisions had been made either way on GWML electrification.
