Thanks. Not a lot in it is there, about an inch I believe isn't it.
I know about Bridgwater/Taunton/Weymouth, but have they begun any testing to Portsmouth yet?

One made it as far as Fareham the other day, it was cleared along the Netley line but there was paperwork issues with the Botley line. There’s serious Chinese whispers that they’ll be too fat for Southsea High level.

I believe the discussion is on going in the dedicated turbo thread.

Understand there was a Turbo swap between Reading and Wolverton in recent days but by road for some reason. Can anyone ID the sets please?

Definitely happened, as I saw a blue-liveried driving car on a low-loader heading from Reading depot through the town on the A33 towards the M4 about 11am on Wednesday, but wasn't close enough to see the number.

165130 returned to Reading.
165118 out to Wolverton.

165131 is due to be the next to go.
165132 may very well go direct to Long Marston from Wolverton.

Thank you for the information.

I thought that 165131 had already gone to Wolverton (#3173)

I had to go back and check my emails and indeed 165131 is the next to go………………to SPM for C4 work!:rolleyes:

165133 is next for Wolverton
165132 is planned to go to Long Marston (maybe direct or via RG first) then SPM.

All aboard the Turbo Merry-go-round! :p:lol::lol:

Thank you for the clarification, it all makes sense now. It must be difficult to keep track of when units are heading off to three different locations at the same time - Bristol, Wolverton and Long Marston.

I notice that it no longer has a yellow triangle. I guess that will be re-applied in due course. 5M65 also ran today which from FGW_DID information above will have been 165133

Another Turbo merry-go-round today:

165134 5M65 RG > Wolverton
165132 5Q67 RG > Long Marston

165131 5V65 Wolverton > RG (then ‘at seat power mods’ before heading west to SPM next week-ish)

I should really try and keep up with the 158s refurbishments as I was surprised that 158957 had power sockets fitted (similar to the sockets on some of the 150s, a regular plug socket with 2x USB sockets above it).

Thank you for this information. Is there any news as to whether 165131 returned with or without air-cooling? To those of us watching the merry-go round spin in circles from the outside it appears to be random whether the 2-cars do or don't get air cooling fitted on their visit to Wolverton, but I am sure there is a sensible explanation.

265 is back but has to undergo checks and exam first before going out on the road
Yes and it's home depot should be SPM for now but with some 2 car 165s starting service around Bristol in the next few weeks it could allow 261-266 to all transfer home depot to Exeter to join the rest of the /2s.

Also 150207 has had decals stuck on the Northern livery and needs several door mods done then it should be out :)

I really hope one of 158958 or 158959 are going in next.

There’s even one blue 158 going around with maroon paint showing around a couple of the windows as the blue paint has flaked off!

I’ve seen 158954/5/9/60 in the last few days so I’d guess it may be 158958 going in?
