I don’t know why they have to do this. The two ex-London Midland 153s they have still say “London Midland” on the safety information poster.

Same on SWR, the safety info posters and other notices on many 444s still have "SOUTH WEST TRAINS" so no "South Western Railway" yet.

I still find it surprising that so many 444s and 450s are still going around with the SWT livery as if the SWR takeover never happened though I understand a few have had new SWR vinyls stuck on recently.

Other TOCs, like London Midland, debranded their trains just before the franchise changeover however that didn't happen on South Western.

Sorry for going slightly off topic

No, he asked for it to remain 'Not for circulation or publication please'. Sorry!
Ok, at least we know that it is 150215 that is to be transferred and not 150207 that was rumoured :) Did it have branding on or just green and silver doors?

In view of more rumours/facts I'm going to wait until it happens before believing it.

Just noticed, there appears to be a GWR-liveried Turbo parked up at Penzance on the GWR advert! ;) Think that's still some way off yet..

Just keeping my list up to date, what 165/166s are currently at Long Marston? 166211 returned to Reading today after being there for quite some time...

Coming back from Wolverton should be 165123, and going up there could be anything, as they're not always in order. Will check when I get into work in the evening, unless Mr FGW_DID can confirm what the switcheroo was :D

165123 to Reading
165124 to Wolverton.
Just curious - is it quite a feat to get the next numbered unit in place and ready to leave for the works on the day? Or does it get jiggled around in the days/weeks leading up to it, so it can naturally be pulled off diagram at the right time?

The Production Managers maintain a rolling 14 day engineering plan, the units will appear on this e.g:

“Sat 17th March: 165124 - Move to Wolverton for C6”

The Movement Controllers, when allocating units to the diagrams, will check this plan for the forthcoming 48 hrs or so and allocate any units with engineering requirements to an appropriate diagram to get them back to Depot or assign them to the “stop list” if required.

Usually it works :D but sometimes it does depend on a bit of jiggery pokerey between Depot and Train Service Controllers!
