150249 in its new livery has arrived back at SPM today from Wolverton so I would guess that the only remaining 150/2 (150265) in the Local Lines livery will be off shortly...

Ah 2.1A output, that's a much better output than the USBs in both the HST 1st class and the recent single socket ones in the sleeper refurbs!

Here is a few pics from the interior before the unit goes away for a makeover. These were taken when the unit was covering on Portsmouth - Cardiff runs before Christmas.

I will miss the FGW local lines livery on the 150/2s. I know it divides opinion, but I love it on these units (and the 143s too!)

Pocket power doors on Mark 3 coaches? Is this happening to all of them?

Quite different from the entire vestibule being re-done on the Chiltern Mark 3s.
The only Mk3s getting Pocket Power Doors are CrossCountry's entire fleet, the handful of coaches retained by GWR for 2+4/2+5 operation in the West Country, and the handful of coaches to be used by ScotRail (also in 2+4/2+5 formation).

The design is modular, which means it's far cheaper to install than the swing-plug power doors on the Chiltern fleet - they were all bespoke.

How many 15x trains out of those refurbished have the new GWR interior?
Refurbished Sprinter fleet with GWR Interiors:

- Both 150/0s
- Most 150/2s. A few early refurbishment and disabled toilet mods were finished in FGW blue and pink
- All 158s which have been refurbished have been done inside and put in GWR green.

I don't think any of the 153s have been refurbished on the inside, none of the GWR green ones that I've seen have done anyway.

Many of the 166 Turbos interiors that are in New GWR Green which recently been cascaded to Bristol still haven’t been refurbished.

Only one (166205) has been done and was done so for the launch of the GWR brand.

The 153s won't be done as they are supposed to be being withdrawn.

Some of the Exeter 143s have had a mini make over with the paint job to include grey seat covers.

I've not seen a pic of a 153 with a GWR interior, have seen the 143 though.

Wouldn't the money be better spent on a 165 or 166 rather than on 153s which are supposedly going fairly soon?

There is a photo of one with a GWR interior.
I have not seen a picture of a 153 with a refurbed GWR interior, however have seen the picture of the 143.

Rather than wasting the effort, time and money on refurbing 153s which are supposedly going soon and possibly scrapped be better spent doing the 165s and 166s which will be around for some time to come?
