Maybe I saw a pic of 221 then! Not sure.

Numbers were blurred.

If it was 261, shame about the Tarka Line branding.

I was on 150261 this afternoon from Cam & Dursley to Bristol TM. Looked good and ran smoothly. Good power coming from USB socket to my phone. Apart from having to sit next to the bog, it was a pleasant journey

Those seats by the bog are stupidly spaces and must have been designed for the vertically challenged. In the last couple of weeks I've sat in a single seat in a GWR style refurbwe 150/2 and on the double seat right by the door between carriages on one refurbed to FGW blue, but had sockets and USBs. It is ridiculous the spacing of those seats.

I was on the seat next to the wheelchair space, the heater was practically burning my legs! My kids were sat opposite in those seats you mention. I moved to one when vacated by someone at Parkway and found I couldn't get my knees in ! ( I'm 6' 2" )

I'm 5' 11.5" and couldn't get my knees in, had to sit with my legs sideways. Luckily coming home Thursday night and when I travelled Friday it was a comfy 158 which had comfy seats and plenty of legroom.

Yeah, the spacing on those single seats by the toilet is... interesting. I also have to sit sideways.

Apparantly a pacer (either 143617, 143618 or 143621) was sent down to Laira yesterday to receive a C6 exam... Does this mean a full refurbishment on it?

Regarding the wall USB sockets, has anyone measured the max current on them yet? In my experience so far, train USB sockets are mostly 0.5A, and some 1A max, which for the majority of today's mid and high end smartphones (that take charge at up to 2A or more) will charge them slowly (or not at all in some cases), so would be generally more advantageous to use the OEM mains charger. However - not rubbishing them, they are at the same time better than nothing, if all you have with you is a USB cable.

150 102 is getting stripped for prm and rebranding today
what internal work is taking place on these ex GWR units? presumably chapmans being fitted?

My understanding is all 150s get chapmans
158 and 156s get ironing boards
155s?

I have observed there is a 408XX buffet car in green, think it is 40803. It is running with 43024 and 43034 in a blue set and could someone look for the set, get the formation and tell me which buffet is in green please?

Today (20 December) 40803 is with 43024 and 43034 (plus some other passenger vehicles!)

http://www.abrail.co.uk/lhcsstockformations.htm has 40803 as being down in OC34 (41102/40803/42203/42568/42027/42201/42204/44064).
Today's OC34 formation is as follows:

41102 L 1st

40803 K 1st

42042 D Std

I do believe 40803 is indeed green.

Does anyone know if 150265 has gone off yet? I was surprised to see it at Cardiff on 21/12 running the 13.00 service to Taunton.

Are 150249 and 150221 currently the two 150s away?

Are you sure it was on the 1300 to Taunton? That's usually an Exeter service anyway and I saw it at Cardiff also on 21/12 having arrived with 2U20 from Paignton with 153329 and 153382!

150265 was working Weston to Bristol Parkways yesterday. 150249 had a pre release check at Wolverton a couple of days ago so should be back any time thus enabling 265 to take it's place.

My apologies, I believe this was actually on 23rd (Sat) - I wasn’t in Cardiff on the 21st!

Yes, was still looking very tatty. In dire need of its repaint. I think it has gone off to Bristol again now as there was no sign of it here today.
