Hi i'm new here but was wondering if anyone knows where 150266 has gone to because I have heard rumors that it is now in the new green livery but I haven't seen it yet?

I saw a picture on a Facebook page yesterday of a GWR liveried 150266 outside Wolverton Works so may not be long now before it comes back

I'm probably overthinking it, but isn't it interesting that both carriages of former 155318 are now in green, with only one end (the large cabbed end) receiving the GWR logo. ;)

150265 is in desperate need of a refurb, both internally and externally. Had it on a Cheltenham to Worcester service yesterday and my god it looked very tatty.

You wanna try being down here and having to subject yourself to 001 or 002! ;)

Haven't they both been done?!

Inside? 001 has. They're both still a bit tatty looking imo, and they're no more reliable!

They were both still in blue when I was regularly travelling on them however. Very untidy at that time.

I had 150002 on a Worcester to Bristol service in January and that one was refurbed.

The 150/2s seem to be getting to that halfway point where you see an equal amount of GWR and FGW units, although the 158s still seem to be in the early stages. Not ridden a refurbed one yet and noticed 158798 in its ad livery looking a bit worse for wear...

Ah ok, thought it was just 001. Notice it's the newer dark moquette, altho they've still retained those terrible Ashbourne 'sinking' seats!

Nope, both 150001 and 150002 have been refurbished by Wabtec in Doncaster. 001 still plies its trade (happily for me) on the Reading to Basingstoke branch, while 002 has escaped to live in Brizzle. While they both retain their Ashbourne seats, they're not bad inside. I'm just still not a fan of the lighter GWR colour scheme which shows up the dirt more easily than the FGW Scheme. Not least when drinks like coffee etc end up strewn across the floor - the FGW scheme did very well to hide most of this.

At the last count towards the end of March, there were 6 FGW Local Lines 150/2s left. So just over the tipping point by now.

002 was at Exeter St. David's yesterday morning on a Paignton service; I can't comment on the interior as I was heading off for a day out on the Barnstaple line - which produced a four car nodding donkey.

Yes I used to get them frequently from BSK-RDG when they were blue, well up til about a year ago anyway when I moved. I guess I was just unlucky cos they used to keep breaking down for one reason or another. But then they have done starship mileage!

I remember someone saying (latter part of last year?) 002 came back in green then went back again due to something having 'popped again' - engine perhaps? Anyway not important, glad to see they've been refreshed, and that 002 is down west, I may give it a look next time I'm in Devon (prob summer). ;)

Can confirm that the new GWR seats are not moquette or cloth but a derivative of the itchy "Asto-Turf" stuff used on Southern. The unit I've just had must have just come back as the seats are like sandpaper (234).

Most of them are now, I just saw 150221 with a set of doors taped shut at Westbury about to work a Weymouth service with the borrowed SWT 158.

Anyone know which unit is currently at Wolverton? I assume it's 150239 as I haven't seen that recently - I've seen 150221, 150265, 150266, 150243, 150249 and 150261 fairly recently. Haven't seen 150244(?) about for a while either. Out of those listed, 150261 is in the best condition due to having a refresh more recently than the others. It has newer flooring and has had a repaint at somepoint.

Anyone know when the first 143 is going away for a repaint?

There are 2 x 150/2 at Wolverton at a time. 150244 is one of them at the moment but not sure of the other. I don't think it will be any of 265,243,or 249 as they have been reported out and about at some time. 150261 will have to go back at some time as it wasn't PRM fitted.

Thanks for this - 150249 was working down in Cornwall when I saw it, last week.
