Their Maintenance schedules should decide the order

Yep, 5V65 was cancelled today and I didn't think it would run anyway due to the short time length since arrival. I did still see a 165 at Harrow & Wealdstone today though, was a Chiltern Rail heading back from Wolverton.

I noticed another livery anomaly this morning - 166205 (the internally-refurbished unit) has the silver first class cantrail stripe at both ends of the unit (while first is only at one end), which completely negates any benefit from having it! Mind you, I suspect almost no-one outside the rail industry even knows it's there or what it means. It's so hard to spot that it doesn't fulfil the whole point of the stripe system, which is to allow passengers to spot first class from a distance and position themselves accordingly. Contrast this with, say, SE or Southern, which can be seen well before the train stops.

Has the next 158 gone in for refurbishment?

Will probably be after the Summer due to the pressure on Diagrams. That is the usual GWR practice to avoid Works in the High Summer, although 2x150/2s in Wolverton.
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---

150933's first day out today Starting with the 0548 BRI-AVN.
It then stays on the branch all day before working the 1615 BRI - BPW, 1644 BPW-Warminster and return through to Avonmouth then finishing on the 2212 BRI-GCR

165101 should be completed at Wolverton next Friday (12th August) so theoretically should return that weekend but not confirmed yet. 165102 is pencilled in as the next candidate.

Looks like everything has slipped a week:

165101 to return 20/08/16 TBC
165102 to depart 20/08/16 TBC

On a separate note, 150002 should be heading down to St Philips Marsh from Reading tomorrow, for a spot of Tyre Turning. Not happening!!

150933 made it to Penzance today seen here at Truro on the down working, unfortunately a dynamic lines 153 was attached to the front at Plymouth hence the view from the back end.

Yes i believe they're running them to Hayes and then having turbos shuttling between there and Greenford?

They'll be doing peak hour shuttles Hayes - Paddington.

Greenfords will be eventually cut back to West Ealing - Greenford, not sure when that will happen.

Does 165 101 have a new interior?

Not sure, haven't seen it yet. 387132 does tho, see attached.

EDIT: Altho don't ask me why it's upside down!

Annoying that not all 166s are in gwr livery... Eight in blue repainted just before gwr was launched

Had a look inside 166 205 the interior was in good condition i don't know why people were negative about it. It wasn't like those horrid Southern astro seats.

I have noted that 166202 is green, but have no photographic proof. Perhaps someone could confirm?

166202 came back from C6 overhaul at Wolverton in FGW Blue, none of these post C6 sets in blue have been repainted yet.

166212 is in green though. Typo?

I've just seen 933 funny enough, it's on 1F05 Cardiff - Pompey. Albeit 17 late at Salisbury!
