This is a good view of it, from the Railcam Twitter feed.

Is the front train in that livery meant to be an 800?

Yes, I believe it is. Incidentally, on both this power car and specially-vinyled 180104 it is possible to see the livery underneath (GWR logo on 43093 and First Great Western lettering on the 180), sort-of 'embossed' in the new top layer.

With the unrefurbished west units, GWR seem to have pretty much given up maintaining them. Many seem to be being held together by yellow and black hazard tape! It seems the ethos is "Blue and lines is no longer our company image and they will be refurbished at some point anyway in the next three years..." Funnily enough I can see some from the 158 I'm currently sat on! They are really squeezing the life out of them before they go off for a refurb - no wonder most are looking very tatty.

From rear (of power car) to front, is that:
King
Castle
Warship
Western
Class 50
HST
Adelante
IET

?? Get any wrong? The 50s of course have no official "name" as a class, merely an enthusiast nickname.

If it reflects the actual line up on the day, it would be a Hall not a Castle.

King Edward II
Foremarke Hall
Warship
Western (D1015)
50035 Ark Royal
HST (43002)
180
IET (800003)

Is there going to be a farewell tour for a class 180 on GWR, because I'd like to see that Old-Oak special liveried one and am very unlikely to go into the patch where the 180s are currently used again before they've left GWR? Also, is there any chance of a farewell tour bringing an IC125 to Fishguard Harbour?

If it reflects the actual line up on the day, it would be a Hall not a Castle.

Foremarke Hall
Warship
Western (D1015)
50035 Ark Royal
HST (43002)
180
IET (800003)
And, if it was a Castle, it would/could be chorologically in the wrong order (since the Castle is an older design than the King, although I don't know which order Warships and Westerns came in). I thought it looked wrong with the Hall coming after the King but then Googled and found that the Hall in question was a modified Hall designed after the Kings.

Is it me or does 180104 have way too much yellow on the front?! Surely keeping the lower valance in green would have been a better look?

180104 at OOC Not mine.

I see what they're trying to do with the yellow valance, match the hst, but it doesn't look right on the 180. Possibly because of the larger amount of yellow across the cab. Imo anyway.

Spends most of the time closed anyway, are there even any pictures of Class 180s in dynamic lines with the hatch closed? It may be the same as it is now anyway! :P

43093 has a 'legends of the great western' livery, the PC is in green but the 'GWR' logo has had the legends vinyl applied on top i think. Looking smart!
