Great Western Adventurer ticket

Have just found a ticket that seems blank except it has a sticker over it saying "I'm a Great Western Adventurer!". Does anyone know what this ticket is?

And as such an excellent little bit if PR. DB intercity guards used to carry stocks of special colourful free “tickets” for kids who didn’t need their own so they didn’t miss out on having their ticket gripped! Don’t know whether that has survived into the modern austere e-ticket era.
