Great South Run

I have no experience of doing sports photography so this was a new experience for me, but it was great to see pro athletes running through my home city and even better that my flat is on the route.

Its cool, I live about 5 minutes away from the end of the Great North Run and its great to so many people from all over descend on South Shields.

MindI do get annoyed when the runners leave those shiny foil things littering the street for days afterward

We supposedly had the Birmingham Half Marathon run past where I live today.

I say supposedly because I was in all day and never saw any runners, all I saw were roads closed, no parking signs everywhere and 'EDF Energy - race against climate change' banners all along the pedestrian safety barriers.
