Someone tested them with a Bite Card. They were not challenged!

I've been sold a ticket with a Network Rail staff discount when presenting a Network Railcard at Birmingham.

I've just had confirmation back from LM that you can use the Network Railcard anywhere on their network with the Great Escape rover.

This has now been stated on the LM Great Escape Site

If you are using a Network Railcard or Gold Card to obtain your discount you can still use your Great Escape ticket anywhere on our network, including stations north of Long Buckby.

Is the extra tenner for first really worth it ? - with first only available on two routes and the possibility that there may be no seats free in first on many trains, is it worth that extra tenner ?

This might be a wishful thinking question, but if I was to get a great escape voucher for two adults, would it cost £15? Or would it be £15 per person?
(although logic is telling me it would most definitely be £30)

The ticket will follow the standard railway "Day" and finish at 0430 the morning afterwards.

Out of Birmingham New Street what is the first train i can use this ticket on to London Euston? people saying 0933 but travelling on the 0913 gets to Coventry at 0947

As mentioned earlier in the thread

You can travel from Birmingham to Coventry without time restriction. From Coventry, you would be subject to time restrictions.

You could get the 1Y72 0913 BHM-EUS service. Valid to Coventry without time restriction. After Coventry, it is after 09:30 so valid anyway.

That's the only major problem for me with the Great Escape: as Droitwich Spa is outside of the NWM area, the first train you can catch into Birmingham is the 0945, which doesn't arrive at BHM until 1025; the process of going anywhere beyond B'ham instantly takes an hour off your day — it would be helpful if travel into Birmingham could travel after 0900.

i do apolgise, i did see that after i typed it, but at New Street spoke to London Midland staff they said 0933, we asked about the 0913 but they told us WE CAN'T USE IT on a direct service to London becuase of restrictions into London Euston, the first DIRECT service to London would be 0933 so ended up travelling on the 0853, got off at Coventry and got the 0947 Coventry to London which is the 0913 out of New Street to play safe

Thanks for that. I don't suppose they would have strengthened the 0004 Ex Euston if the tickets expired at midnight!

Why couldn't you just say you were going to Coventry and not get off?

In the Network West Midlands area, unlimited travel on weekdays but you can only go as far as Coventry beefore 0930

0913, the one you asked about, as it would become valid at Coventry (as previously stated).
