Thank you @yorkie ! I've updated the map for 2025, and extended it north to include Scotland. PDF attached, feedback and corrections as ever welcome - my Scotland knowledge is rather patchy and I'll almost certainly have missed some other changes in the last year. Flixbus and National Express insets probably coming at some point to fill in the big gap on the left, but still working out what a treatment of those will look like given the impracticality of showing every route as an individual line.

An excellent piece of work!

I've just had a look at the Sheffield areas and have some suggestions (feel free to reject if impractical)

- add town of Dronfield between Sheffield and Chesterfield. 43 and 44 serve Dronfield but X17 runs fast via the bypass.

- add Dinnington between Sheffield and Worksop along with bus X5 between the two, this provides a useful connecting route onto the 19 to Worksop.

- there's also bus 257 and 257c from Sheffield into the Peak District. Bus 257 runs Sheffield to Bakewell via the scenic route Monday to Saturday whilst 257C runs Sundays only via Castleton to Glossop.

Midland Bluebird (McGills) run a frequent service 59 from Stirling to Doune and Callander ( the same route as the 978 Citylink from Oban). On a Saturday the S60 runs the whole way to Crianlarich (note correct spelling ) and Tyndrum. A few other of their routes are also missing from your map.
There's a supported service between Killin and Callander but I don't know who operates it.
There are services from Crieff to Comrie, St Fillans and I think Lochearnhead but I don't know the operator.

A few minor corrections in the Greater Manchester area

The 7, 8 & 362 coming out of Wigan are now the 607, 608 & 632

The CAT5 is going to be renumbered just 5 in January

The line between Manchester and Oldham is missing a label, presumably 83 & 84

In West Yorkshire, Halifax to Hebden Bridge is now 591, 592 & 593, the latter being the most frequent

I’d agree with Deerfold above that Halifax to Huddersfield should probably be X1 & 501 as they both run every 15 mins and are reasonably direct

Goole to Scunthorpe 361 is now a Stagecoach service, not East Yorkshire

Missed out due to space around Loughborough being at something of a premium and the lower frequency and more circuitous route than the other options - may add if I do a wider reworking of the area.

Thanks for the more substantial Scotland knowledge! Skipped S60 given it's only one day a week, but found and added all the other specific routes you mentioned.

The rules seem to change from time to time: for example I know that the 757 bus between Luton Airport and London Victoria used to accept them but no longer does, but I don't know whether that's due to a change in the stopping pattern or simply a change of mind by the company or some official.

Assuming you're in England - everything on the main map without a specific note allows them, anything off the main map doesn't. In England it's based on whether the route is registered as a local bus service, which is largely about the distance between the stops.

One I've found - The Triangle in Kent (Canterbury-Whitstable-Herne Bay) is now multiple routes (See attached), very confusing and most still call it the Triangle so it isn't a huge error.

Thanks again! Done the mainland corrections - missing out islands was originally intentional but in retrospect a bit silly, have added Mull for now and will probably do Bute + Arran + the Isle of Wight at the other end at some point over next few days.

Whilst it’s very difficult to be accurate in such a confined area, here are a few comments on the area around Glasgow.
The First 6 & 18 do both go from Glasgow to East Kilbride, but via completely different routes.
The McGill’s 38 provides the most frequent direct link between Glasgow and Paisley (every 8 mins), so should at least accompany the First 9 (an AI 15 min frequency). The 38 also continues beyond Paisley to Johnstone (same as 904).
The 757 from Paisley to Clydebank via Glasgow Airport is a key route, but space is tight!

Thanks - Glasgow was certainly one of the tighter areas. 6/18 shown as one line in the same way as similar situations elsewhere on the map, just not enough room to show them separately. Could try to add Johnstone, is it distinct enough from Paisley to need separating out? May redo Glasgow entirely eventually to get closer to a Manchester level of detail inc. stuff like the 757, it is a bit squashed at the moment.

Sorry, my mistake. Biggar to Lanark commercial journeys are 91. 191 is the number for Spt supported journeys. The 91 Peebles to Biggar is Borders Buses and 91/191 Biggar to Lanark is Stuart’s Coaches.

Barry Doe has a list of printed material here - there are still plenty around and some councils are now using BSIP funds to bring back previously scrapped maps - Oxfordshire's for instance hopefully coming in the next month or so.

It's largely how far into London they are/how many other TfL routes would have to go on to get them in - aim to eventually include the whole loop as the boundary but this will need wider reworking.

Loving the Scottish additions! A couple of very minor points, to the south of Ayr are the towns of Ballantrae and Stranraer.

And, I guess more down to space limitations, the 901/906 from Glasgow follows the M8 to the west (roughly parallel to the 9/38), while the 1 series uses the Clydeside Expressway to the north west, and the Citylink services use Great Western Road, which is parallel but a few miles further north (except the occasional journeys that use the M8, but let's gloss over that!)

If you are adding islands, can I suggest Cumbrae, off the coast of Largs. Millport Motors run service 320 to the ferry slip every 15 minutes during the summer season, and 30 mins during the winter. Amazing job, and forward to see what happens next!

Just a heads up. Barmouth to Porthmadog is now the G23.
Barmouth to Dolgellau should be a thicker hourly line.
In South West Wales, the 322 and 381 are now operated by First Cymru.
Chester to Whitchurch 41 should now show as operated by Centrebus Group.

11 Clitheroe -Settle goes on from settle to Horton in Ribblesdale. 11 runs Mon - Sat. Some journeys have a break in Settle. They park up in WhiteFriars car park where there is an Asda petrol station/small shop and public loos. Operator NYCC.

This map is becoming increasingly useful (especially as busatlas still hasn’t made it to Scotland. A small correction though - Stranraer has a typo (Stranrear).

In Cornwall I would include Fowey (space to do so I think) - relatively frequent services by First and Go Ahead from St. Austell.
