Does anyone have a copy of Granville Dobson's reminiscences entitled "Old Flames" that they would be prepared to sell to me?

I've tried all the usual out-of-print sources.

Amazon has one for sale at £365, but I'm afraid the budget doesn't run quite so far!

Westwood Books (on Abebooks) seems to have one at a much more reasonable price...

I have a copy which I would be happy to lend you, but I would like it back when you have read it. I'm afraid I won't be able to access it until I return to the UK in mid-June, but you can DM me to make the necessary arrangements if you wish.

Thank you for your very kind offer, but, as you see, I have managed to obtain a copy.
But many thanks again, for your kindness.

No problem....glad you managed to obtain a copy. I have met Granville on a couple of occasions and he's a really nice guy....and his book is an enjoyable read.

Yes. I met him when he spoke to the Bradford Railway Circle last month.
I was born in Halifax and although am now living in North Wales, I happened to be in Yorkshire to enjoy his talk and was welcomed to the Circle as a visitor.
He spoke about the history of Low Moor mpd, and is due next week to talk about his reminiscences generally.
As I'm now back in North Wales, I'm glad to have managed to buy a written account.
