Is there a 1st class lounge at this station-have a 30 min wait there on Thursday-if not any good pubs

I'm not aware of one. Wasn't there in the GNER days and I can't see (NX)EC investing in any new first class lounges.

If there was it would be listed on the EC site and Stations Made Easy. So, my conclusion is that there is not.

Simple answer - no, there is not. I can't comment on pubs. I think I saw a Sainsbury's near the station, though!

Yes, with a 30 minute wait - Sainsbury's will be your best bet. Turn right out the front of station, through the car park then left at the mini roundabout. Follow that road and it will take you straight there.
