The question is in the title....have searched but could not find the answer......

Do grand central train have at seat power sockets available? I'm travelling tomorrow with grand central and im wondering if it is worth while taking my charger with me for my phone? I'm in standard class.

A separate and slightly unrelated question please, do grand central offer weekend first upgrades and if they do, anyone know how much roughly they are?

Many thanks in advance!

Yes and Yes is the short answer.

At table seats there are 2 per table not sure about at the other seats. Although in first they are at every seat. Although last time i did a journey with them from Kings Cross the power sockets were not working, but hopefully they have sorted that out now.

First class upgrades are priced at £15.

Yep weekend upgrade is £15 but can only be done if you hold an open ticket. (Off peak return/single) advance tickets cannot be upgraded using weekend 1st sorry. I'm sure standard class window seats have sockets, must admit I've never looked sorry.

Standard class aisle seats do have sockets on both HST and 180 although not in HST buffet cars.

Am I right in thinking GC use and are still using ex Virgin TRSBs? One odd feature I noticed when walking past one in Kings X last week was that the Buffet Cars have no overhead racks as well - trying to rack through my brain to remember if the ex VTXC Buffets had this feature as well.
