Grand Central track access contract extension

Hi,

Does anyone know if Grand Central Trains have had thier franchise extended until 2026 yet and what their future plans would be if they were to obtain this extension?

Thinking of a career with them is the reason for asking.

There was a thread a few weeks ago when it was mentioned that they planned to pay for a second platform at Hartlepool if they got paths for future years (in the way that HT were offering to pay for electrification from Selby to Hull), but I think this was still at the start of any negotiations (could be wrong, of course)

They also planned to hand back their HSTs and try to get more 180s, to go for a "uniform" fleet.

They don't have a franchise agreement, as they are an open access operator.

It was an extension to their track access agreement that was applied for, it's available online on the NR website here:

I think it includes as much info about their plans as anywhere else that's public; and I'd expect if the application is approved that GC would let us all know pretty quickly...

Does anybody know how long Grand Central Trains have there contract for on the Railways.

Have the Department of Transport given them the extension yet that they applied for ???
