Grand Central Polaris!?!

Anyone have any info on the propsed Polaris trains GC and GU will be using whenever they eventually start? I have the following:

"Grand Union is seeking to commence services in 2011/2012, using new build 140mph “Polaris” trains, which are also scheduled to replace Grand Central’s HST fleet in 2010."

The "Polaris" class will be built in China and then shipped over here.Sovereign Trains(GC sister company and train leasing company) will look to lease this class to other TOCs also,GC expects to have them on s/land - kx route by 2010 apparently

I do like the look of those, very much updated HSTs with the seperate powercars and what are basically loco hauled coaches. Even got a cool "thrash compartment" in the powercar, complete with opening window (can see all the enthusiasts fighting to get there).
Can't help thinking they are too good to be true though, and the real thing will be nothing like. The powercars look too HST like, as if someone has taken a HST powercar and modified it (new front end, replaced the old luggage compartment with seats) and the coaches look too much like generic modern hauled stock that has been painted in GC colours. Actually, I doubt they would pass modern safety requirement for 140mph running due to the lack of crumple zones at the ends of the coaches, and even those big windows don't seem feasable either.

Thanks. I was a bit skeptical about 140mph myself. They do look fantastic though.
