Why are we talking about NXEC on a thread about GC Power Cars? At least we know what our branding is!
So, why isnt there a separate thread for the new NXEC livery then?
GC will be competing with NXEC now, not GNER
It's not m8 you should be worried about![]()
I have two tickets for the first run, but it never happened!Talking of the first run, I'm still waiting for my complimentry ticket
I'll only be travelling between Kings Cross and York on the servicesm8internet will be easy to identify on the first runs as he'll be "demonstrating the Potential of WiFi"!
I'm the one on the right...That makes you even easier to spot then!!!!

It's either 062 or 067. 062 is still NMT, 067 is now with GC. I forget which one stars in that photo. I'd hazard a guess for 067.
EDIT: As for service starting date, I'm told it's now mid-November. Should be interesting.
All our power cars are Paxman Valenta, not an MTU in sight, thank god.We also have an additional power car + spare vehicles but you can read this info at railwaycentre.com archive news(but you already knew that didnt you,say "yes BOSCH") :-x
Arrrgh. To make it simple. The front of the Grand central Valenta PC looks like the front of a FGW MTU just black and no first logo....... .
Oooh, touchy lol !That would have been RAIL mag you were looking at then under the heading "Black Beauty" ! If you see the paint job you would realise that statement is well wide of the mark my friend !

067 had buffers before it became an NR machine...
The start date has already appeared on the ORR website, as I mentioned earlier in the weekAs for the start date, that's what is being mooted at the moment
Oh bleeding heck, of course...
I should have remembered that. In which case, it's definately 062. Which is definately not a GC machine. As for the start date, that's what is being mooted at the moment.
As for MTUs in GC machines, thank the Lord this is not the case. I wouldn't touch GC with a stick if it were the case!

If the service does not commence on that date then GCR will need to submit a completely new application and restart the entire process
I am quite sure they will start the service with anything, if they have to, just to avoid having to go through all that again!
M8,have your "contacts" at Grand Central(no abbreviation, just for you)not given you any hint of a start date then,I know you keep referring to the ORR website as an information source but I thought you were "well in" with a couple of directors ! :? Also, how come a Loss Prevention Officer gets to demonstrate wi-fi,weres the connection ? :-?
