There are also the two ECS moves from KX to/from Ferme Park overnight. Are these outsourced to a VTEC driver?

I think the Grand Central guys lodge in the same hotel as the Hull drivers, maybe wrong.

At Freightliner IM, we have min of 10:30 between rest when we lodge.

Pending how long we are in a lodge, we get 3hrs or 5hrs extra hours pay.

Lodges are for Sunderland Drivers only, two Drivers lodging per night.

Only Sunderland Drivers lodge at Kings Cross."Early" Lodge Driver works 1A61 0842 Sun-KX then an ECS move from Bounds Green for a West Riding service.Next day works ECS from Ferme Park to form 1N90 0802 KX-Sun.
"Late"Lodge Driver works 1A69 1731 Sun-Kx then ECS to Ferme Park for fuel and disposal of set for next day(5N90/1N90).Taxi from Ferme too hotel then off duty.Next day works 1N93 1253 KX-Sun then ECS to Pelaw and back for set to form that days 1A69 !! Minimum rest on lodge is 9hrs !

I'm looking at possibly applying for the Bradford vacancy. Does anyone know what the shift work and traction is there?

Also, I'm a little concerned at the advert stating 'Standard life pension', does this mean they don't offer the railway pension?

Any info is most welcome.

They aren't part of the Railway Pension Scheme as they are a new company created after privatisation. Hull Trains aren't part of the Railway Pension Scheme either.

Im not quite sure on shift patterns but traction is all 180's ! No railway pension either !

Decided not to apply for this in the end, which is a shame. Always enjoyed using Grand Central, and like the open access idea. But just feel theres too much to loose going from a TOC to GC. Might change my mind in the future though and decide to apply next time.
