Grand Central diversions Friday 11/7/25

As the title says, on top of the cancellation of the first Sunderland to Kings Cross service and it's return working back to Sunderland today, there appears to have been a problem between Northallerton and Eaglescliffe which has closed the line in both directions.

From what I can see on RTT one service from Sunderland hasn't served the Durham Coast Route, instead working via Newcastle area and the ECML, others appear to have worked from Eaglescliffe to Northallerton and vice versa via a reverse at Darlington.

Does anyone know what the problem is and whether it will affect tomorrow as well?

There's also been a train vs vehicle issue at Low Lane LC between Northallerton and Yarm this morning. Redcar TPEs are cancelled and GC Sunderlands are either going via Eaglescliffe and Darlo, or via Newcastle. Train involved appears to be 6M16 Wilton-Knowsley...
