one of the new services (1918 from KX) is showing up on the National Rail site for the week beginning 17th August. I haven't checked the others.

Does anyone know how I can go about doing a 'print at home' ticket for this service as they're not shoing up on that part of the grandcentral site - and that's how to get the 1/3 off. Perhaps it will show up sometime next week?

Not meaning to be moany but Hornby have released their GC HST and it's not great, the logo on the PCs are faded and they have been delayed so long that the logo is obsolete.

Mind you GC themselves are excellent!

Got some on order, and when we got home this afternoon there was a note through the door that a couple of parcels are waiting at the depot... Though it could just be stuff for mini clagalot!!

Yes, ehattons online have some pictures, I've got one on order too which is why I'm not best pleased. :(

The 180 service is now on the website as starting on 17th August, The class 180 will hopefully go to London as the 0918 and return as the 1650 (The 21st Century Limited) :D

Tickets are available to book and I should now be on that service! :D

yeah i also have one on order but you know that we could jest remove the decal amd replace with another better one..

I gave them a try, I think I have one journey Paddington-Slough, one journey Oxford-Reading, and one Reading-Paddington and finally something like Taunton to Exeter and that's plenty. I think that's it, more than enough to know that they are boring. If I want boringness I'll book a very cheap ticket (e.g. £9 at the most recent offer, still got loads of £8 ones from last time) with NXEC, and at least I have the satisfaction that I'm on a real train. I don't mind too much paying an extra £12 or so to go with GC, but only if it's a Valenta with the lovely comfy IC70 seats. Otherwise, sorry but it's NXEC for me, even if I do prefer GC as a company. I won't pay more to take a rattling DMU. That's just my opinion.

Just becouse a train is electric, doesn't mean it's not a real train. To me a 91+Mk4 is a good train. Although I hate the Mallard style interior. It looks good, but even easyjet has more comfort.

4th Service confirmed for Mon... But the fares section on the website says that the peak fares apply to the first Up and the last Down trains of the day. I thought that the 19.19 back would be classed as `off-peak'
