Bosch - someone on MSN claims ALRs aren't valid on GC contrary to what I've been told by either you or Sir Clagalot....

Which is correct? ;)

They are valid is what I have been told, christ the price of them you could have booked the coach to yourself !!!!:lol:

£860 for a non-discounted first class All Line Rover for 14 days!

Has a desicion been made regarding North County, Freedom of the North East and the Tees Valley Day Ranger? All of which would cover some portions of the GCR route?

Yes Blame Me, Its my fault anyway! Cheeky b*****s!
I can see a time when we give discounts on our tickets for railcards, BUT we will need to be full members of ATOC first, and as an open access operator, you can't be...

IMO that GC version of the trainline which Tom has mentioned, is really bad!

I just don't think the orange text & black background goes well, although they are the GC colours..

By the looks of things, i'll be giving GC a miss, even before they've operated a passenger service, as I hold a YP railcard, and would find it to be ALOT cheaper to go by NEX when booking in advance, especially as I probably wouldn't do a return journey on GC.
York-hartlepool £5.90 CDR. beat that....

(Same price from Sherburn, Church Fenton, Ulleskelf, Cattal and Poppleton)

Demps, 0822 away from York in the morning, arriving into KGX at 1032, back out at 1127, York at 1319, then return at 1410, KGX a1605, d1650, (by which time it will be dark!!)

I hope it goes smoothly from now on. Last thing in the world they need is more dodgy publicity!
