Golded the whole of a & b licences, but have silver and bronze on the rest, currently a-spec lvl 24 and b-spec lvl 5, will never complete the game due to the stupid xp system, for example to get from level 39 - 40, you needs the same amount of xp it takes to get from level 1 - 31. But I'm not complaining loving the racing, any of you guys got the x1 yet.

I haven't, what races do you win it for? I'm only level 15 and 12 for a and b spec respectively. I cannot get 1st place in the beginner autumn ring b spec for some reason, and embarrassingly I cannot win the samba van race! :$ Not playing it much at the moment though.

Level 30 Sebastian vettel challenge in the specials, or it's unlocked at level 35 in b-spec,
Can't do the samba van, or Elise but golded the koobell wagons. Gave up on b-spac as bob can't drive just spins or crashes, or will not pass other cars.

WOO HOO my 2000th post.

Well done! B spec is tricky, but it is important not to let him stay in the extreme red too long, he will just make mistakes!

I've golded all licenses and all races so far, enjoyed golding all the special events, that Elise at Top Gear track isn't funny, its so hard.

Came in here to post that Facebook has an application called 'take it to the track', challenge 4 friends, and if they do the challenges, you get a code for the Jaguar XJ13 race car, costs millions to buy, and apparently comes in Chrome too!

I've got my code but a screaming baby and older lad who won't go to bed are keeping me from redeeming it yet.

It took me ages to do that Elise one, the car kept spinning out too much....however it took me ages to realise that if I changed the driving settings, it should be easier to drive! Hey presto it worked and hit gold first attempt!

It is always worth seeing if the ABS/ASM/TC etc is on if need be (don't turn TC off unless you need the car to be sliding around!)

Also a tip with rallying, do NOT use ASM at all! turn it off! It is rubbish, and all it does when you slow down is hold the revs back so you don't spin. You will find the Sebastien Rally challenge extremely hard with it on, but extremely easy with it off. No ASM = More control you have.

IIRC you should have ASM and TC off for Nascar too (especially on tracks with banks) if you have TC on, it will slow you down when turning into a banked curve, which is a time you need full throttle and full speed!

The camper TG test track challenge took me a while to do it, I found it was just about late braking and trying to be that bit quicker than things than AI. They are designed to be slower than need be otherwise it really would be hard!

What's the secret to golding the licenses? I've got mostly bronze on them, though in all honestly I just whipped through to get the cars

Have finished Beginner and Amateur A-spec with all gold trophies.

I quite like this though, some responses to your points though

1. No idea though but I'm used to trains sims taking the same time to load so no affect on me

2. Really, I noticed it was a bit different to GT4

3. I find there was less options than expected but I will say there are a couple options that
wasn't needed

4. Well there is some form of hints of what you need, like seeing what takes place in races etc but is no different to the rest, in GT4 I was having to work out what might be best myself, and that was a good idea I thought

5. It does the same thing every time though, shame they can't pull into you at random times. I don't know why your annoyed at them doing it, how would yo survive it a real race when such a thing happens a lot (especially in NASCAR!), it does say 'racing simulator' on the front :p

Having raced myself, this is nothing like a real race.

The physics of the way the car handles and responds is good, its just that if you can't feel the grip, the brakes, the accelleration, the decelleration, why does it need to be like that?

All AI on driving games is designed to annoy and frustrate, my friend was QA manager at Codemasters
