Grade 2 Signaller vacancy- Evesham

Hi All

I have recently applied for the vacancy of grade 2 signaller based in Evesham, and i have today received an email asking me to complete some online tests. Just wanted to ask what the recruitment process is after this stage? Is there more assessments or straight then through to interview?

Also i have done some of the numerical and verbal reasoning practice tests, which seem fairly straightforward, can anyone give some more advise/tips for doing these?

You’ll have to complete the tests online, or you’ve score high enough against other people’s scores you’ll be invited to a formal assessment (or it was last time I looked).

Pass the paper based assessment then it’s on to interview with the recruiting manager, pass that it’s a medical then off to signalling school.

Eversham and the other Cotswold SB are regarded as training boxes, as in people don’t stay long before moving onto higher grades.

Worcester Srub Hill and Tunnel Junc are both on the internal list at the moment, they come under the same LOM I believe, so plenty of opportunity to move up.

I have heard the same about Evesham. I'm gonna practice with the online tests then have a bash at the real thing.
The emails they have sent mention nothing of the process involved, but what you've said sounds about right.

Ok just to give you an idea of timescales on the recruitment process, here is mine from start to finish, Assessment 2 is the interview.

I was called the day after (19th July) to say I had got the job, then they have to sort out security checks, employment history checks, I had my medical on 21st August, told I had passed 3 weeks later and the checks were fine, I start on 30th October for a week then go to signalling school on 6th November until 16th February 2018 so as you can see it takes a fair while to get through the whole process.

Thanks, I am happy as I'm getting on a bit and was made redundant a little while ago.
