Govia Thameslink Railway's Gatwick Express 387 diagrams?

[CalaisFret]

Hello All,

does anyone know which Gatwick Express services are diagrammed to run as 387s as of Monday?

Apologies if this has already been asked elsewhere.

Many thanks in advance.

The first Gatex 387 is planned to be the 1826 off Vic starting Monday

Are they going to keep all the 387/2s on GatEx workings or will they still be on Thameslink services?

[Class377/5]

18:26 Victoria - Gatwick Airport
19:30 Gatwick Airport - Victoria
20:15 Victoria - Gatwick Airport
21:00 Gatwick Airport - Victoria
21:45 Victoria - Gatwick Airport
22:35 Gatwick Airport - Victoria
23:30 Victoria - Gatwick Airport
00:20 Gatwick Airport - Victoria

387/2 on Thameslink is temporary event that will continue for a few months yet.

Cue a lot of media interest with the 18:26 to Gatwick, with it being most likely a lot busier than it would normally be, maybe with 2 passengers per coach rather than the 1 passenger and his dog!

That seems an odd time to start.

Probably to make sure that it's on a diagram that starts and finishes at Stewart's Lane

Correct. It was a 5 car 442 diagram so easy enough to replace should anything go wrong.

387211+387207 are the first 387s on Gatwick Express this evening, starting with the 1826 Victoria to Gatwick as booked.

Thanks for the info everyone.

Anymore 387s out to play today?

Anymore 387s out to play today?

The only diagram has been posted. No further workings at present.

Got a trip planned to East Croydon on the 29th of March. Will the 387/2s be a little more common by then?
Thanks,
Ross

Sorry to revive an old thread just wondered if the 387s come out to play on a Sunday particularly next Sunday 29th May and if they stick to a diagram or its random allocation

[TEW]

There were 5 out today, one 12-car and one 8-car. There was a reduced frequency, Gatwick Express were only running every 30 minutes.

[Class377/5]

There's 4x 12 cars out at present.

387210+387219+387214 on 1U29 0734 Gatwick Airport to London Victoria

By observation the other four workings are those which include the following services:

1A08 0715 London Victoria to Brighton

1D30 0730 London Victoria to Gatwick Airport

1A12 0800 London Victoria to Brighton

so that should be enough (in conjunction with RTT) to work out the current diagrams.
