Hi

On my medical invite letter for trainee train driver it mentions further to our conditional offer of employment


I am a bit confused as thought a conditional offer is first made verbally as well as it being sent out to your home address?

I heard we have all had conditional offers thus a concrete job offer is certain but we are going into a talent pool.. Which is normally prior to a medical or talk of job offer

I'm guessing the conditional offer is just them saying 'you've passed the interview, we're booking you in for a medical'

I agree though, it's a bit weird - every time I've had a conditional offer it's been a letter with lots of paperwork.

Simple, they have used a template letter for your medical invitation and didn't amend it to your circumstances.

The above is correct. The conditional offer will come when your are actually offered the job. There will be no misunderstanding. You'll know when you've been offered it!

With yours, the 'conditional' part will be dependant on your references. Previously when FCC, I believe the offer came prior to the medical, so as WCMladdict says, it just hasn't been correctly adjusted.
