Gordon Brown to Step down as Labour Leader

I've been watching this on the news and good show on him for stepping down, I think this will restore faith in him and the labour party.

It's been rumoured that David Miliband is going to stand but no other candidate has been announced

What are your views?

IMO this is a last grab at power for Labour, they won't form a government without Clegg's help and Clegg refuses to work with Brown so there was no option really.

What about Harriet Harman, Page 3 would be history if she came in nevwer mind more pressing issues!!!

Still, I'm betting on Alan Johnson and David Milliband - Milliband might be seen as Blair's true successor but Johnson probably would been the better choice if he were leader before the election then maybe Labour would have had a better showing.

I think the viable solution we have at this point is to have an old labour veteran take the reigns and fix things up.
