Goole Swing Bridge Stuck Open

Hi All - I’m currently on the 07:06 Doncaster to Hull at Gilberdyke where we arrived 10 minutes early, having diverted via Selby.

The swing bridge at Goole is stuck open, “always problems with it” according to the conductor but he got a message saying that it should be fixed by 09:00, hope so for my trip back.

Freight train broke down near Thorne North too, I was on the 05:42 Sheffield to Scarborough which terminated at Hatfield & Stainforth..

By their very nature, all swingbridges will cause problems.

The conductor just got messages that the bridge is about to re-open and that they’re moving the freight train.
