One of my wife's friends has IE11 and Windows 7 in her laptop and both the Google Search Bar and the Norton Search Bar. This morning, she rang my wife to say that whilst all was well at first, but whilst the Norton Search Bar still works normally, the Google Search Bar only allows one letter to be typed then what looks like buffering as it takes about a minute for the next letter to be typed then this repeats again and again.

She is only using the Norton Search Bar now and wonders if this something of a new Google Search Bar problem. Any ideas/advice from our most computer literate forum members that I can pass on to her?

My first advice would be "Don't use a search bar." as they aren't really necessary and only slow your system down. My suggestion is that she sets IE to use Google Search by default.
