Google Gemini doesn't give real time train access when asking "hey google"

I made a trip yesterday and wanted to check if there was any delays.
I said "hey google when is the next train departure to Marylebone from Sudbury hill harrow"
it gave me a time of 19.xx which was hogwash as this was mid morning!
Are AI assistants really that bad? If I want to plan a driving trip, it works much better.
Google maps even gives me live tube times, but for some reason the voice AI feature (Google Assistant) seems to be lacking.

any hints or tips?

It doesn't have access to Google Maps outside of basic directions (though it can search on Google, but it may not do that every time), and realtime will only work for flights since it has access to Google Flights

that's very interesting, any reason why? It says that it cant search national rail or real time trains.

Because it only knows to scrap the web, it can't search (or actually interact at all with a given website)

that is terrible, here is a real world application and it fails. Is there any "assistant" that can do this basic task?

Maybe someone built one as a MCP (Model Context Protocol) tool (which an AI can then elect to use) or as ChatGPT store tool. Otherwise, I don't think so at all.

Yeah, a lot of people have made RTT/NR based tools for ChatGPT. If you go in the ChatGPT store (or whatever it's called) you should be able to find them.

The Gemini app/assistant won't have the possibility to use them though

AI assistants aren't good at this. They just do a Google search. If it's just your phone being snatched you're worried about you can get a wrist lanyard for a couple of quid. AI is extremely sketchy as a daily tool and I wouldn't use it for this sort of question. It is regularly wrong or unhelpful.
